  This has and will be one of my favorite places to go! It's inexpensive, and portions are more then fair. Delicious I might add. And who can go wrong with serving breakfast all day?! Yumm! Never leave Cal!

  Cal's Place is a family-owned and operated diner. You'll find comfort food here - hot beef commercials, hamburgers, southern fried chicken, and the like. Mashed potatoes and gravy. Green beans served with bacon. This is where the locals eat.
  
  The server, cashier, and manager were helpful and friendly.
  
  We ordered Southern Fried Chicken and a French Dip sandwich. Both were tasty, as were the sides that came with them. Everything was hot and fresh. My wife's side salad was not great. It was as if it had been sitting in the fridge for three days.
  
  What's really nice is that you can order their breakfasts all day. On special occasions you'll find live music here.
  
  Don't expect luxury or extremely fine dining. Do expect a local place that's not a chain, that serves the kind of food you'd have at home.
  
  The restaurant is decorated with local artist's work which is for sale.

  Cool place. Bigger inside than I expected. People were nice. Food was decent. Loved the hash browns but not the home fries. Good eggs but not so much on the gravy. Will be going again as food was good for the price and want to try some other things next time.
